The purpose of the Asian American and Native American Pacific Islander-Serving Institution (AANAPISI) Program is to support institutions of higher education in their effort to increase their self-sufficiency through two-year grants to improve academic programs, institutional management, and fiscal stability.
AANAPISI's mission is to strengthen the Mission College's ability to promote Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) student success. Background The goal of the AANAPISI programs is to improve the transition, progression, graduation, and transfer rates of Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) students at Mission College. Century College was recognized as an Asian American Native American Pacific Islander Serving Institution by the United States Department of Education and recieved a grant from October 2016 through September 2021.
